2024 Jeonju Joseonpop Concert
Joseonpop, a compound word of 'Joseon' and 'pop', is a new genre that combines various genres based on traditional Korean music. (Joseon is the name of the last dynasty of Korea.) It is defined as all music in various forms, including band lives, instrumental pieces, and performances. Joseonpop combines the unique rhythm of Korean traditional music with western pop melodies and is free of forms and variations.
This event will feature main performances by various Joseonpop musicians and smaller performances collaborated with the JEONJU IFF. It is open to anyone on the spot without reservations.
Since 2020, Jeonju City has been showcasing Joseonpop performances under the title of Jeonju, the city of Joseonpop and has been gaining popularity. Experience the exciting Joseonpop, which has a special meaning of combining tradition and modernity, in Jeonju City, the home of traditional Korean music.
