The 23rd JEONJU International Film Festival Announces Ticketing Schedule

Sales for Opening·Closing Ceremony Open April 13 (Wed)

& Regular Tickets Go On Sale April 15 (Fri)

· Advance ticket office for Jeonju residents will open (4/12~4/19, 4/18 closed)

With its opening coming up on April 28 (Thu), the 23rd JEONJU International Film Festival (JEONJU IFF, Festival Director LEE Joondong) revealed the ticketing schedule for the Opening Ceremony and the Closing Ceremony, as well as regular screening tickets.

Following the 23rd JEONJU IFF’s recent announcement to screening 217 titles from 57 countries in their programming is an announcement of their ticketing dates. Tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies will be available starting at 2PM (KST) on April 13 (Wed), while regular tickets will go on sale starting at 11AM (KST) on April 15 (Fri). Tickets can be purchased online (on your mobile) via JEONJU IFF’s official website (https://eng.jeonjufest.kr/). Regular tickets are KRW 8,000, Class Screenings·JEONJU Special·JEONJU Talk! Talk! are KRW 12,000, Master Class is KRW 15,000, and the Opening Ceremony and the Closing Ceremony are KRW 20,000 each. All tickets will be sold online, while the remaining tickets of events that have not sold out will be available for purchase at the on-site ticketing office during the festival dates. Persons with disabilities can purchase tickets in advance starting on April 11 (Mon) through an email request.

In addition, an advance ticket office for Jeonju residents will operate to increase festival accessibility to Jeonju residents. The advance ticket office will be open from April 12 (Tue) to April 19 (Tue) from 14:00 to 17:00 on the 4th floor of JEONJU Cine Complex (closed on April 18 (Mon)). For 3 days from April 12 (Tue) to April 14 (Thu), 20% of available tickets will be made available to Jeonju residents first. The advance ticket office can be used only by Jeonju residents, students enrolled in Jeonju educational institutions, and employees who work in Jeonju, and each person can purchase up to a maximum of 2 tickets per screening. For Jeonju residents, a 50% discount can be applied on sales for the Closing Ceremony and Screenings at JEONJU Dome at the advance and on-site ticket office.

In accordance with the government guidelines and detailed regulations related to COVID-19, the JEONJU IFF will operate on an assigned seating system [2:1 distance between seats] (some theaters are exceptions) this year, but depending on the situation, the empty seats between the assigned seats may be changed to regular seats without any distance between them at the time of sale. If any additional tickets are released, or if the schedule is changed because of this, it will be shared as an announcement on the official website and social media account.

Meanwhile, the 23rd JEONJU IFF is scheduled to be held for 10 days from April 28th (Thu) to May 7th (Sat) in and around Jeonju Film Street in Jeonju.
