Born in USA, 1941. She began working in films as a teenager, has worked on films as a writer of dialogue and dialogue coach for, among others, Federico Fellini, Francesco Rosi, and Marco Ferreri. As a historic feminist, she was a co-founder of New York NOW and of the New Feminist Theater. Since 1996 she writes a backstage movie column for the daily newspaper during the Venice festival and has been a regular critic for the weekly show 「Cinematografo」.
