KIM Sooyong

Born in Anseong, in 1929. He made his directorial debut with the feature A Henpecked Husband (1958) after getting his start in army marketing and educational films in the army. He subsequently directed over 120 films in 40 years including Bloodline (1963), Sorrow Even Up in Heaven (1965), The Earth (1974), Late Fall (1981), and Scent of Love (1999).
