Pavel Jura?ek is an outstanding exponent of Czech New Wave. In years 1962-1970 he worked as dramaturgist in Barrandov Studios. He made two feature films ? Every Young Man (1965) and A Case For The Young Hangman (1970) - and wrote scrtipts or participated on many other movies. At the beginning of 70’s, he was dissmissed from film studios, later signed Charter 77 and subsequently was forced to leave the country. He lived in Germany till 1983 when he eventually returned to the Czech Republic. However he never came back to his profession. (Czech Centre in Seoul)

Born in 1934, Jan Schmidt was a Czech film director. He directed sixteen films between 1960 and 1995. His 1969 film The Lanfier Colony was entered into the 6th Moscow International Film Festival.
