After completing a bachelor's degree in administration, she pursued studies in film and art history, all while learning film production within the independent filmmakers' collective Les Films de l’Autre. She has written, directed and produced two short films, including L’Abime Appelle L’abime , shortlisted for the best short at les Rendez-Vous du cinema quebecois film festival. Her film Ma voisine Danse Le Ska won the Radio-Canada prize for best script for a first feature. Catimini is her second feature-length film. It has won the Valois d’Or at the Festival du film francophone d’Angouleme in France.
