Review

This is a drama film based on a novel by Irwin Shaw, directed by Vincent Minnelli. After spending three years in an asylum, a washed-up actor vie ws a minor assignment from his old director in Rome as a chance for personal and professional redemption.

Born as Lester Anthony Minnelli in 1903, Chicago. He is considered as a master of Hollywood classic musical. He made his debut with Cabin in the Sky in 1943. He is famous for classic musicals as Meet Me in St. Louis, The Band Wagon, and An American in Paris. In addition to having directed some of the most famous and well remembered musicals of his time, Minnelli made many comedies and melodramas.
