Review

The Atacama desert is the perfect place to observe stars and home of the world’s largest astronomical observatory. It is also where the body of people disappeared during Pinochet’s reign are buried. This is where questions about the history of celestial bodies and humanity arise.

DIRECTOR
Patricio Guzmán 
The Chilean director was born in 1941. As a teenager, Guzman watched Chris Marker's films and dreamt of becoming a documentary director himself. He constantly observed and filmed the political situations of Chile in the 1970s when Chile was under Salvador Allende's and Pinochet's rules. Guzman's films are accepted as the best movies that that seek to converse with the past and explore the possibilities for change.
