Born in Daegu, 1974, he graduated from Seoul National University of Science & Technology. After working as a production coordinator for [#i_]The Crescent Moon [_i#](JANG Gilsu, 2003), he participated in assistant director team for [#i_]The Road Taken[_i#](HONG Geesun, 2003). Later, he directed a TV documentary Hannara, Her 40 Days of Sail in 2005, and was invited to Wide Angle section of Busan International Film Festival 2007 with his short film, Mosaic. His feature debut, [#i_]Beautiful Miss Jin[_i#](2011) was screened at Busan International Film Festival 2011, Dubai International Film Fetival 2011, and Yubari International Adventure Fantastic Film Festival 2012.
