Fifteen years have passed since the world’s greatest superhero retired. Bob was formerly known as Mr. Incredible and led the life of a hero but public opinion turned against superheroes due to a certain incident. Now he hides his identity and works for an insurance company. He is married his fellow superhero Elastigirl and they have three children. One day, Bob receives a message asking for his help but it was actually a trick. As Bob’s wife and children come to his rescue, a family of superheroes is born. Disney and Pixar reinvent some of their previous characters, creating a harmony between comedy and action and humans with heroes. Unlike most other stories of heroes, the film is at once about a family and a head of household. The father’s double identity makes us reflect on the distinction between good and evil and justice and villainy. [LEE Sang-yong]
