The second animated film by collaboration of Disney and Pixar, and a story about an inventor ant who resembles a grasshopper and is in danger of extinction. [#i_]A Bug´s Life [_i#]is a hybrid narrative combining the fable ‘The Ants and Grasshopper’ and[#i_] The Seven Samurai[_i#](1954) by Akira Kurosawa. It was also a signal to enter the era of creative storytelling, characterized by hybridity or variation of prototypical narratives. This epic about the human world, presented as a microcosmo of insects, has been spotlighted as a combination of enthusiastic adventures, witty script, and memorable characters. Leaving Pixar shortly before producing the film, Jeffrey Katzenberg made [#i_]Antz[_i#](1998) and signaled a tension mood. While[#i_] Toy Story [_i#]provided a new soil technical and aesthetic, [#i_]A Bug´s Life[_i#] is considered the work adding the width and depth of the soil. [JANG Byungwon]
