It is Disney´s 24th feature animated film adaptation of the novel of the same title by Daniel P. Mannix. The Fox and the Hound is a story about the friendship of two unlikely friends. The baby fox Tod adopted by a man and the puppy Copper who will become a hunting dog in the future, they have been close friends since childhood. As they are growing older, their friendship is in dangerous. The dogs hunt foxes in search of prey, and Copper struggles to keep his friendship with Tod. The faithfulness of animal friends to overcome conflicts with hostile community is tearful. It is known as the last work in which participated the artist called Disney legend, Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston, and Wolfgang Reitherman, and also the last animated film released with the credit of Disney before the Disney logo changed to ´Buena Vista´.
