The second animated feature film produced by Disney adapted Carlo Collodi´s fairy tale. The greatest accomplishment made in Pinocchio is the excellent use of cameras as well as the completeness of painting. The vividness and beauty of its images are due to the historical environment when this film came out: In 1938, Disney was able to more effectively use the animation techniques proven in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The film widely apply uses multi-camera system that had limitedly used and results in displaying the capacity of camera offering the elegant movement and depth of field in animation at its beginning. Created at a moment when Disney were particularly prosperous in its history, Pinocchio preserves the confidence, creativity and purity of Disney´s style. [JANG Byungwon]
