In the aftermath of a zombie outbreak, the third wave of newly cured citizens is reintroduced into society. The majority of them get on their lives but some cause trouble on the streets. The film shows how a city is plagued by a process of contamination and cure. Ironically, the moment they believe they’ve been cured, a new terror seizes them. Written and directed by David Freyne, this Irish horror film features Ellen Page, Sam Keeley and Patrick Murphy among others. What worsens the horror is not the existence of zombies but the fear that they may turn into zombies again even after being cured. From the way they check their bodies, we realize that the imagined zombie virus is interlocked with various fears in real life. Mistrust spreads across the society and unable to trust one another, people create terrors for themselves. [LEE Sang-yong]
