Ryo is university student who is bored with his life. One day he meets Shizuka, the owner of a host bar and begins to work as a call boy. He has sexual relationships with various women and discovers their deepest desires. At first he feels repelled by their strange desires. But he slowly gets drawn tp them and finds a sense of purpose in his work. He prides himself in his ability to elicit women’s desires and make them exist as who they really are, until one day he realizes, to his bewilderment, that he cannot control his own feelings for Shizuka. The film presents highly explicit scenes of sexuality and explores the functional relation between desire and power. Are our desires truly our own or have we accepted the desires of others?
