[#i_]Also Known As Jihadi[_i#], made on the occasion of the terrorist attacks in Paris in 2015, is an essay on the geographical and political space-time by the documentarist Eric Baudelaire. The camera tracks the journey and the trial process of which a young man had joined Al Qaeda, leaving France and traveling through Egypt to Syria. Baudelaire explores a situation, focusing not on the person himself but on what he saw, from the hospital, house, and school in Vitry, France where he was born, to Aleppo. The journey gradually leads us to the person we cannot see in the film. In the film inspired by ´fukeiron´ that Japanese radical artist Adachi Masao proposes in [#i_]A.K.A. Serial Killer[_i#](1969), the landscape, that a young Muslim had passed, asks questions about the social and political system behind his journey. [JANG Byungwon]
