Lee Baduk, who had been called a ´Go´ genius since childhood, feels the limit of his talent and scraps the dream of Go player. Working part-time at Go club, he looks at the poster of the local ´Omok´ tournament and attends it. In the Omok tournament, in which he participated only for the prize money, his fighting spirit is activated by the encounter with Glasses Kim. The story about improving the skill of Omok extends from a local tournament to the national championship. [#i_]Omok Girl[_i#] can be summed up by the enthusiasm of a major leaguer who has entered the minor leagues. ´Go´ and ´Omok´, the confrontation between the two games reflects the situation of ordinary people in the Korean society who aim for mainstream but remain in nonmainstream. The director creates the color of comedy dealing with the loser with real affection for the minority. [JANG Byungwon]
