Three girls, Yukiko, Kyoko and Sachiko, hide feelings they can´t express and get on with their everyday lives. Despite the memories they can’t forget, they take a step towards the future and find a ray of light that quietly welcomes them. Divided into four chapters, the film carefully and delicately unfolds stories of people who seem unrelated to one another. The camera gives the impression that it’s hiding inside their homes and observing them with affection. Though nothing dramatic happens, the ambience throughout that almost captures every breath and even the texture of the air naturally draws us in. Because the film never rushes forth or attempts to arouse our empathy for the characters and their stories, we come to accept their polite and humane attitudes towards themselves and others.
