Artist Joaquin Cocina and director Cristobal Leon tell a weird story set in a small community village in Chile. The film revolves around the housed built up by the Nazis and used as a place of torture during the Pinochet dictatorship. Maria, a German girl who escaped from the village to avoid the punishment, finds the house in the woods, in which she trapped. The greater part of the film is comprised by the episodes that happens when Maria enters a house in the forest. The house is not quiet: the paintings dance across the walls, the pieces of furniture appear and disappear, the volume of the room increases. Stop-motion feature film [#i_]The Wolf House [_i#]uses life-size dolls, sculptures and paintings. The sophisticated stop-motion technique and meticulous sound design show the harmony between film and plastic art in the film. [JANG Byungwon]
