[#i_]Holiday[_i#] is a feminist film that inherits the provocative vision of Ulrich Seidl´s. The young and beautiful Sascha spends the vacation with his boyfriend, drug lord in the port city of Bodrum on the Turkish Riviera. A lavish yacht, liquor, food and sex. But bored with everyday life, Sascha flirts with the Dutch traveler Thomas who met at a restaurant. Punishment results when a woman tries to escape the rules of her man. [#i_]Holiday [_i#]depicts a portrait of a woman under the cruel man´s rule. When audience is attracted to the fancy set and the stunning beach image, there is a shocking scene that tells you that every sequence are just a stage for emptiness. Unfathomable words and actions of Sascha infiltrate the strong masculine world around her. The unexpected rhythm of editing and the scenes bursting into violence resemble the tone of this unpredictable film. [JANG Byungwon]
