A fairy tale of art and life is unfold in a small town of Czech Republic. A young director makes a play that adapted 「Phaedra」 by Eurypides for. Phaedra, the second wife of Theseus, crushed on his son from his ex-wife and killed herself due to the tragic love. It is the same situation as the director´s. Preparing the play, he has an affair with the actress and makes his marrige endanger. It turns into the tragedy. The play is failed, his wife left. He tries to do his best in his messed life and it shows the?portrait of the artist competing with the life between the art and the reality. The film reflects the artist´s egony gracefully, desperately. The story resembles the situation of Alejandro to make a film in the Czech Republic even if he is from Chile. It is a autobiographical work expressing the crossroad of life between the art and the reality. [LEE Sang-yong]
