Rookie actress Lee Seon-hwa visits her relatives living in Vancouver, Canada, in the summer. She seems to be a person who can speak and behave irrespective of others´ reaction but is confused by the encounter with people who attack and criticize her without hesitation. Though she looks free and strong, she is depressed by the future of her unstable love and job. The excited mood of vacation in a strange place does not keep her anxiety down. [#i_]The Darling [_i#]portrays the relationships of a young woman who is struggling with neat images. The event that hurts her, from a distance, is considered to be one that reveals her human charm. It would be in the same context to cite and recall Chekhov´s novel 『The Darling』. [KIM Youngjin]
