A young writer goes missing after arriving in Brooklyn. Bingham Bryant plays the young man whose friends unsuccessfully try to find him by combing through his notebooks, letters, postcards and other possessions for clues. Running in parallel is a story of a philosopher, filled with mysteries and political statements. This dark, minimalistic story with creative screen composition is peppered with humor, and a limited number of images are repeatedly presented. Simple shots designed to convey information such as postcards, newspaper clippings, and notes are connected and repeated, generating a unique rhythm. Ricky D´Ambrose, known for his short films, makes a bold debut showcasing his exceptional talent. The film takes a dystopian view of the modern world using documents from everyday life and delicately forged texts. [JANG Byungwon]
