Alex Ross Perry’s new release?Golden Exits, is followed by his previous works, Listen Up Philip(2014) and Queen of Earth(2015). Golden Exits starts with an Australian archivist named Naomi living in Brooklyn, New York. With this attractive woman’s presence, Nick and his wife Alicia face the threat of their relationship despite their perfectly framed relationship. The potential breakage of their relationship rises and shows the true side of the husband and wife’s problematic dilemma. Alex Ross Perry has stopped creating hand-held film; however, the beauty in the old 16mm long film can still be found. The presence of Emily Browning, Jason Schwartzman, Chloe Sevigny and Mary-Louis Parker’s acting definitely stands out in the film. [JANG Byungwon]
