The film takes place after the failure of 2012 Quebec student protests. The young people in their 20s live in the commune of their own. They own and share the money they make as a group while rebelling against the older generation, including their parents. In reality, however, their attempts lead them closer to terrorism. Their strict ethical standards are constraints that threaten the commune. They say goodbye to the past, making extreme choices. With fierce resistance against the conventional morality and other provocative scenes, this film might be the most controversial one of this year’s select\ion. It’s impossible to separate oneself entirely from capital today. Their choices for the resistance are limited. The montages and provocative images that remind of Jean-Luc Godard’s early works make us question: What can a film say? [LEE Sang-yong]
