Raul Ruiz´ Time Regained

  • ‘Regained Time of Raul Ruiz’ is a writer project in memory of imperishable scriptwriter Raul Ruiz. Born in Chile, Raul Ruiz left as many as 120 films in France and Portugal. Various influential works of Raul Ruiz appeal to viewers with bold imagination denying border with maze-like stories and complex narratives projecting conditions for the existence of beings. They ask diverse questions about theology, philosophy, psychoanalysis, literature and visual expressions. His experimental, bold and beautiful films stand around the border between literature, play, fine arts and cinema and fuse surrealism, politic allegory, gothic and baroque. Films of Raul Ruiz have become one due to the unique imagination, original work style and dream-like experience. Viewing his films is an adventure full of humor, intellectual curiosity and artistic boldness. A total of 11 films will be presented at ‘Regained Time of Raul Ruiz’. 10 unreleased including his feature debut Three Sad Tigers, Little White Dove, Dialogues of the Exiles, The Suspended Vocation, Three Crowns of the Sailor, Life is a Dream, The Golden Boat; color:#000000; italic:Y; bold:N;}, TV version of Mysteries of Lisbon; color:#000000; italic:Y; bold:N;}, and The Wandering Soap Opera ; color:#000000; italic:Y; bold:N;}found and restored in 2017, as well as Time Regained ; color:#000000; italic:Y; bold:N;}filled with his magnificent ambition will be presented. This retrospective of one of the greatest virtuoso in history and explorer of unconsciousness will take you to a new continent filled with humor, intellectual curiosity and artistic boldness. All the films are in digital remaster version that have recently been restored.
