A reckless teenager Charlie, a son of a politician, escapes from a rehab clinic going to LA but gets caught to send back to a clinic where he finds love with a girl Eva. Despite the rule of prohibiting personal relationships, the two gets closer. Director Reiner is known for his coming-of-age films The Sure Thing, Stand by Me, The Princess Bride, and Fripped. Based on his personal experience with his son who has drug problems, he co-wrote the screenplay with Matt Elisofon who had drug problems himself. With Robinson’s detailed acting, the film describes the nature of youth, resistant to taboo and authority. (JANG Byungwon)
