Maxim and Melanie are in love. One day, Melanie finds out she is pregnant. The relationship begins cracking. Maxim, a goalie of a youth football team, takes the news badly so that he can’t remain focused on training. As their secret is revealed, Melanie’s mother separates the two, while Maxim’s parents accept the situation and try to help out their son. Keeper deals with the teen pregnancy not too seriously and adolescent situations not too lightly. The film depicts the boy and girl’s coming of age process in a prudent and positive way. It delivers a clear message through 15-year-old parents that love is about responsibility. The charm of the film lies in the balanced directing. (LEE Sang-yong)
