Review

When her mother dies, Seong Woojoo decides to return to her hometown and prepares to open a cafe there. The 36-year-old Woojoo has the incredible experience of meeting a 26-year-old woman and a 6-year-old girl who have the same name as her. She realizes their lives are uncannily alike but refuses to believe it. When she was younger, she had fallen in love with a man who wanted her to go to France with him but she broke up with him. Woojoo has deja-vu and is confused at the two, and news of her ex-boyfriend adds to the confusion. After his huge debut film My Tutor Friend(2003) followed by Liar(2004), this is the latest film by Kim Kyunghyung following a long break. The film breaks the continuity of time and places the characters’ lives on the same circuit then breathes life into their individual lives which seem to be cliche but still different. (KIM Youngjin)
