Adapted Tom McCarthy’s cult novel on memory loss, this is a debut film of an Israeli video artist Omer Fast. An unidentified object falls from the sky and a man goes into a coma. When he wakes up, a large amount of reparation awaits him. He loses every memory before the accident and is tormented by strange scenes. Between the boundary of reality and dream, the film brings about the mood of sleepwalking. Caught up in a game of deceit, he keeps dreaming of a red brick house, a boy, and a woman with a scarf. Memory pieces make him even confused. Destructive images lead him to the bottomless pit. A mixture of David Lynch’s grotesque and Jonathan Glazer’s surreal imagination. (JANG Byungwon)
