The documentary is directed by a famous aerial photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The film raises simple questions. What is the origin of tragedies we can’t understand? The question is followed by testimonies on murder, war, genocide, religion, human race, and blood. Where do hatred and genocide come from? The film is composed of interviews from different region, race, and faith with objective reports and poetic comments. The first part is filled with honest testimonies and metaphorical images on death. The second part, however seems quite diferent. It tries to find answers on love, marriage, homosexuality, and happiness. The word human refers to human who has flesh and blood as well as to human love that overcomes fear and despair. The film also shows marvelous filming techniques. (JANG Byungwon)
