After his film, Secret Love(2010), Ryu comes back with a comedy. With all the fuss, a crappy theater with a director, actors and staffs, who used to produce vulgar plays, decides to produce a serious drama. Once acclaimed for directing the Hamlet at college, the director tries to find the meaning of art but faces corrupt reality he can’t control. Maintaining certain senses of speed and balance, Rhoo works on the rather serious theme with humors and great performance of actors. Even in the events of nonsense, the director skillfully guides the story while asking the meaning of art. Considering the trend that Korea’s independent cinema gets too soft, the film becomes a good case of what a small production can do. (KIM Youngjin)
