Review

Ryohei, a Japanese writer, visits Korea for the release of his novel. While trying to find his way, he meets Eunhee who shows him the way. The film follows the writer who has an experience as a writer in an unfamiliar city and Eunhee who is like the character from his novel. His actress girlfriend appears out of nowhere with her face covered up and screams at him while Eunhee’s ex-boyfriend who is married rushes to Namsan to see her. Kim Jongkwan, who captured the delicate relationships between characters in his previous work, strikes up a conversation with contemporary youth through his second film. He stresses that our daily lives are a drama of predicaments bound by relationships and what we fantasize is the beginning of a new relationship that transcends all of it. Ryohei meeting Eunhee at the end is the beginning of that relationship. (LEE Sang-yong)
