Damien MANIVEL

Born in 1981, France. Started his career a circus artist, then a contemporary dancer. In 2006 he was accepted at the National Studio of Contemporary Arts "Le Fresnoy" where he studied cinema. The Lady with the Dog(2010) was selected for the Rotterdam Tiger Awards Competition for Short Films and won the Jean Vigo Prize. A Sunday Morning, was selected at the 2012 edition of La Semaine de la Critique in Cannes and won the Nikon Discovery Award. A Young Poet(2015), his first feature film, was awarded with the Special Mention at Locarno IFF. The Park(2016), his second feature film, received the Best Picture Prize at Jeonju IFF. His recent film The Night I Swam will be premiered at 19th Jeonju IFF.
