Based on the real-life sexual abuse scandal surrounding a French Catholic priest, Francois Ozon’s controversial film, By the Grace of God, marks a departure from his previous works. Sebastian Lelio follows up on the success of Gloria (2013) with his new film Gloria Bell. Wang Xiaoshuai’s So Long, My Son, the winner of Silver Bear Awards at the Berlin Film Festival, makes clear that the film aims to paint a portrait of human life. In addition, highly anticipated new works from Romain Goupil, Andre Techine, Patricia Mazuy, Pablo Trapero, Radu Muntean, Jaime Rosales, Jan vankmajer, Catherine Corsini and Merzak Allouache represent the various visions by some of the most celebrated filmmakers of today.
