You Can´t Imagine Nothing
You Can’t Imagine Nothing contemplates the media through the concepts of duration and movement, continuity and discontinuity to reveal the essence of cinema from an animal’s movements. A sloth climbs up a branch, lowers its head, takes a nap, and clings to a tree. Color changes when the sloth reaches the middle of the branch and once again around 25:00. The full color vision, implying pop art and TV commercials, de-familiarizes everything instantly. The 39-minute theatrical version entitled Now, At Last! is edited to the 5-minute installation.
