Born in 1975, Romania, became known in 2006 for his first feature, [#i_]12:08 East of Bucharest[_i#](2006), which won the Camera d´Or award at the Cannes Film Festival where it was shown in Directors´ Fortnight. His film [#i_]The Treasure[_i#](2015) was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival where it won the Prix Un Certain Talent prize. His feature-length documentary film, Infinite Football is screened in the 2018 Berlinale Forum.
