Born in 1944, Paris. In the mid-1970s, he bought a Super 8 camera and produced two films. One of them, [#i_]La Croisee des chemins[_i#](1978) is seen by Maurice Pialat and Eric Rohmer. After that he directed several films including [#i_]The Black Angel[_i#](1994), [#i_]Choses secretes, Secret Things[_i#](2002). In 2011, the Belfort Film Festival-Entrevues devotes a retrospective. In 2012, he received the Golden Leopard from the Locarno for[#i_] The Girl from Nowhere[_i#](2012).
