Review

An experimental documentary beginning from a cold chronicle that describes hygiene management in industrial sites in Korea, then suddenly jumping into sociology of leisure and hobby that represents today’s thinking about labor. It is an adventurous work of the esthetic area quite new to Korean documentaries.

LEE Kang-hyun

Born in 1975, he directed his debut film The Description of Bankruptcy in 2006. This very film was screened in numbers of famous film festivals, both domestic and foreign, including JIFF 2007, Yamagata Documentary Film Festival 2007, and Amsterdam Film Festival 2008. The Color of Pain is his second full-length film that he directed.
