How is Jonas, whose turned 25, spending his life? Alain Tanner, whose eighty years old, appears to have made this film as a response to his 1976 film JONAS WHO WILL BE 25 IN THE YEAR 2000. It is Geneva in 2000. The hero of this film, which a young girl starts off by declaring that it is snowing in Geneva, is naturally Jonas. Jonas, who dreams of becoming a director, lives together with Lila, a dark-skinned woman, who reads enjoying books about philosophy. As they gaze together at the first sunrise of the year 2000, they laughingly declare: Oh, its the same old sun, nothing special. One day, on the day of an interview with a Russian woman, he gets his camera stolen. Angry, he still finds his way to the den of the Russian mafia where he witnesses them making a porno. He is chased away but not before he gains the acquaintance of the Russian woman, who stars in porns while she dreams of being a stage actress. His mentor gives Jonas anew digital camera and teaches him about being a director and then his journey begins….
