Born in 1960, Incheon. She received BA in English Literature, MA in Theater & Film from Hanyang University. She graduated from Universite Vincennes A Saint-Denis, Paris majoring in Film Studies, and received the Best Film/Young Critics Award at the 1st Seoul Short Film Festival in 1994 for her short Promenade in the Rain. She directed films Waikiki Brothers(2001) and If You Were Me: Her weight(2003). Her recent film Forever the Moment(2008) became hit in Korea, obtaining over 4 million audiences in just 37 days after the theater release.
